Innovative Myrtha technologies
Technologies that are integrated into the pool itself: for better air and water quality, efficient circulation and filtration, hygienic finishes and green building certification.
Built into the pool, not added afterwards
A large part of how a pool performs is decided in the structure: how water flows through the basin, how it is filtered, what the surfaces are made of and what happens to the air above the water. Myrtha has developed a series of technologies that are part of the pool design itself. They can be combined with new construction and, in many cases, with RenovAction renovation.
- Myrtha Breathe: captures disinfection by-products in the overflow channel, for better air in indoor pools.
- Strahlenturbulenz: circulation through the pool walls only, with no piping in the floor.
- Myrtha Shark: compact perlite filtration without backwashing, with real-time monitoring.
- Myrtha White: a coating that helps reduce bacterial growth on the pool surface.
- Myrtha Skin: a 1 mm laminated finish for free-form shapes and seamless surfaces.
- Myrtha Flow: counter-current swimming for training and rehabilitation.
- Sustainable buildings: contributions to LEED, BREEAM and Green Star.
The overflow gutter
The stainless steel and PVC overflow gutter has a sloped profile that gives a controlled, quiet water flow and helps reduce chemical evaporation. Filtration and disinfection are designed together with the pool, so pipework, gutter and plant room fit together.

Explore the technologies
Myrtha Breathe
Myrtha Breathe captures volatile disinfection by-products such as trichloramine in the overflow gutter, before they spread through the pool hall.
Strahlenturbulenz
A circulation system with wall-only water inlets and adjustable nozzles, validated with CFD analysis. No piping in the pool floor.
Myrtha Shark
A compact filtration module with perlite filters, for small technical rooms. No backwashing, lower water, energy and chemical use, and real-time monitoring.
Myrtha White
The white pigmentation of the Myrtha coating helps reduce bacterial growth on surfaces in contact with water, without chemical additives.
Myrtha Skin
A 1 mm, flexible version of the laminated stainless steel Myrtha panel, supplied in rolls and applied on site, for watertight, seamless surfaces.
Myrtha Flow
An engineered counter-current system integrated into the Myrtha pool structure, for high-intensity training and aquatic rehabilitation.
AngelEye
Underwater cameras and analysis software that detect signs of distress and alert lifeguards immediately.
Sustainable buildings
Myrtha technologies contribute to LEED, BREEAM and Green Star, so the pool can be part of the building’s environmental certification.
