Myrtha White: a hygienic pool surface
The white pigmentation of Myrtha’s laminated coating, which helps reduce bacterial growth on surfaces in contact with water.
How it works
Myrtha White activates a photocatalytic process that uses natural light to counter the formation of biofilm on the pool surface. It is always active and uses no chemical additives, so it continuously supports the hygiene of the pool and helps protect the surfaces over time.
Research
A study carried out with the University of Rome Foro Italico showed significantly lower bacterial adhesion on Myrtha White than on traditional materials such as steel, ceramics and tiles.
Why it matters
Biofilm is where bacteria find shelter from disinfectants. A surface that limits biofilm formation supports water quality and can reduce the need for aggressive cleaning.
