Saint-Servais, Namur: a closed competition pool brought back into use

Lifeguard monitoring underwater camera images

The Saint-Servais aquatic centre in Namur had been closed for several years because of filtration problems in its main pool. In 2020 the facility reopened after a renovation with Myrtha’s RenovAction technology.

A competition pool with more uses

The main pool was renovated for training and competition, and was given new functions at the same time. A water slide makes the pool attractive for families during public swimming hours, and the deeper end includes a dedicated section for scuba-diving training.

Safety monitored under water

The pool is equipped with the AngelEye system: twelve underwater cameras monitor the pool and alert lifeguards when a swimmer appears to be in difficulty.

A new children’s pool

A shallow children’s pool completes the programme, so the centre serves competitive swimmers, divers, families and young children under one roof.
