Backstroke start system
A foot support at water level that improves the push-off in backstroke starts.
How it works
The backstroke start system is a wedge-shaped foot support mounted on the starting block. It gives swimmers an anti-slip surface at water level for a stronger push-off and less risk of slipping.
- World Aquatics approved.
- Height adjustable, about ±4 cm from the water surface.
- Removed quickly after the start.
