A different way to build a pool

Most pools in the BeNeLux are built in concrete and finished with tiles. Myrtha Technology takes a different route: the pool is built from stainless steel panels that are prefabricated in the factory and assembled on site. The result is a watertight, structurally strong pool shell with a predictable build process.

The system is used for competition pools, community and leisure pools, hotel and holiday park pools, and wellness facilities, from a single 25-metre basin to complete aquatic centres.

How a Myrtha pool is built

    Base frame

Bolted stainless steel sections define the pool perimeter and are anchored to the concrete slab. The frame can be adjusted precisely during installation, so the whole structure is level and aligned.

    Wall panels

Modular stainless steel panels form the pool walls. The water side is laminated with a durable PVC waterproofing layer; the back is protected with a clear-coat laminate. The panels are bolted to the base frame; no welding is done on site.

    Buttresses

Stainless steel buttresses at the panel joints are anchored to the slab. They give stability while allowing controlled flexibility, which makes the system suitable for difficult soil conditions and technically demanding sites.

    Overflow gutter

The gutter is made of the same stainless steel and PVC combination as the walls. Its sloped profile gives a controlled, quiet water flow and helps reduce chemical evaporation.

    Floor

The pool floor is finished with a reinforced PVC membrane. All joints are sealed to form one continuous watertight shell.

What it means for your project

    • Watertight by design. A dual waterproofing system: PVC laminated onto the panels in the factory, and sealed joints and floor on site.
    • Predictable construction. Prefabricated components and a bolted assembly give more control over the schedule and reduce disruption to other trades on site.
    • Low maintenance. According to Myrtha, the structure needs no structural interventions over time, where concrete pools typically need work every 5 to 10 years.
    • Resistant to movement. The structure absorbs micro-movements without structural adjustments.
    • Lower environmental impact. Myrtha states up to 50% lower environmental impact compared to conventional construction methods.

    Design freedom

A wide choice of finishes lets the pool match the architecture and identity of the building, including stone and marble effects. Tiles, natural stone and other compatible materials can be combined with the system, and acrylic panels can be integrated to create transparent walls.

Design & Build with EWAC Pools

    • We design. We translate your programme of requirements into one plan, together with your architect or adviser and Myrtha’s engineering team.
    • We build. Our team installs and finishes the pool on site and remains responsible through to handover.
    • We guide. One point of contact for planning and site management, and for service and maintenance after handover.

EWAC Pools is the authorised Myrtha dealer for the BeNeLux. Myrtha carries out the product engineering and manufactures the components.
